Having a blog and podcast has been an absolute blast, both because of the people I've fooled into talking to me and especially the ones I have fooled into listening to me. I also had a blast this weekend after spending a little bit of time with Mark Texeira, Dave Hunt, and Bob Budiansky. I don't know that I've ever had more fun than I did at East Coast Comic Con.
I came to the realization that there's nothing I could really do to top the soon to be released show 82, plus my impending move from Florida in a few weeks is going to be a big change. Southern Florida was really the heart of the Roboplastic Podcastalypse and it will not be the same without recording here. Plus 84 is a really cool number to end a show about old toy robots on.
So I just wanted to let you, my fellow Macrocranians, know that episode 84 will be the last episode of The Roboplastic Podcastalypse. 82 will be the ECCC show, 83 I would like to do a listener call in type deal and 84 will be kind of a special retrospective. I'd like to release 84 on the 4th of July so I can pretend the fireworks are for me!
I have already written here a little more than I think an announcement about the end of a show with 12 listeners deserves but I figured a bit of an explanation was in order because you guys mean a lot to me.

What? Say it ain't so! Your random musings about toys are as enjoyable as the interviews.
Well if I ever get another idea for a segment I can just come on your show and discuss it with you guys!
Oh no! But I totally feel where your coming from being an ex-podcaster myself. Maybe after your move and you settle in perhaps ROBOPLASTIC APOCALYPSE Mk2 might sound like a good idea. :) I'll definitely be savoring these last few shows. Thanks for the wild ride Steve!
As a guy who hardly ever listens to his own podcast... Yours is the only one I truly ever listened to. Please, Please, Please change your mind.
Thank you for being one of my favorite Internet people! Please let us know any future projects! I'll miss you!! Ren Strom
Seriously I love all you guys for spending your time listening so thank you tremendously.
Aaron I still owe you episode 74, which I recorded but was just too lazy to edit together. That one was special because of the tie in that number had to your show. As per my usual ridiculous inability to release things in order, 74 will be coming sometime after 82 but before 84.
Yoshi I am so sorry for not getting back to you on emails. I am a terrible person for not giving you the explanations you deserve, but if you ever want to talk Bob Budiansky I do have a few new stories to share.
Ren I do have something special planned for anyone foolish/brave enough to call in during episode 83. I will keep everyone up to date on that. I don't want to leave without punishing/rewarding my dozen listeners in an extra special way.
First I learn that Herb Trimpe has been taken from this mortal realm. Now I learn the Roboplastic Apocalypse is ending. Will the sun still rise in the East? Will Christmas come again? Will Hasbro continue to make Transformers?
I don't know anymore.
I take some hope in the knowledge you have tried to bow out before and have come roaring back better than ever. Maybe if we wish hard enough, this will occur again, a phoenix rising from his roboplastic apocalyse.
In any event, if I'm invited, I'd be honoured to be part of episode 83. Let me know time and place.
Now, now, Colin. Don't let the end of the world get you down. Actually I have never tried bowing out only to return again. I have given everyone the heads up that I was going on hiatus for a few months here and there but I have never said I quit and then not quit.
But this really isn't quitting or giving up-think of it as mission accomplished!
Thank you for all of the great shows Steve. I hope you leave your site up so we can still access all of your work.
85 was the last/best year of toy robots for me. If you ever feel the need to drop one more show, you still have a nice number to end on.

Sweet, I'll be looking forward to the lost episode 74! While reviewing my personal archive of RBPC shows I noticed I am missing #66 and don't see it on your website. Was this the victim of when your MacBook died, a numbering mistake, or will there be a super duper uber secret episode 66? ;)
66 was partially recorded and I lost most of it when the computer died. I just felt defeated by the situation and gave up. I plan on rerecording and putting it out very publicly because it was a good idea. I just had a lot of anger over the computer loss and I couldn't overcome the frustration enough to pick up and keep moving forward.
In the time since I have found more material on the subject so I should be able to stick to the original concept and hopefully come up with some interesting stuff.
So there should be like four more episodes between now and July. I expect people will be goofing on me on Facebook. There will probably be so many shows coming out that they'll be saying, "I thought you were supposed to have given up already!"
I'm sure this came after much though, and ending at ep 84 is too perfect. I will miss listening to your toy memories and ramblings, but I can go back and listen to the old ones I've missed. I always hoped to run into you at a con, that would be cool. If you ever come back down to Megacon let us know! Thanks for all the great podcasts!
Noooooo! I just discovered your podcast! So now you have 13 listeners! I've been listening to every episode, including the poetry ones... Crap.
Well thanks for listening and spending whatever time you have with me so far, Bc. You're a real trooper going back there to those early solo episodes I did. I think they're horrible. I personally would skip anything where it's just me talking during the first 60 shows.
