The wages of Shin is about 35 dollars
A new Tranzor-Z cartoon in Japan came out called "Shin Mazinger Z-Hen" and I know you're thinking, Hey that sounds like it translates into 'Tranzor-Z Chicken Show'. I was thinking the same thing and that's why I haven't seen it yet but it comes highly recommended by a blogger I like who's smart about Japanimation. The big news is it's getting shown at the convention I'm going to this weekend. Yeah, I decided to pre-reg for the Mizucon because although I am 35 and have nothing in common with the anime crowd and I have no idea who the guests are and me attending this convention sounds like a big train wreck, the programming in the video room looks robotastic. With two days to go the organizers still haven't uploaded any panel info so I don't know if I'm going to have a reason for going beyond cartoons and the dealer room. Hell, I don't even know when the convention is starting. It sounds like chaos but don't worry, my fellow Macrocranians. Even if I have to bribe a Pokemon hooker I will figure out where I need to be to watch Tranzor-Z Chicken Show and two other Japanimations I've been interested in seeing at the con-Detroit Metal City and Gundam 00. It may seem kind of dumb to pay what comes out to 12 bucks a day to sit in a room watching cartoons that might suck (and that I could torrent for free) but I will keep an open mind. I don't want to rocket punch my chickens before they hatch.

Oh man, they're showing GI Joe Resolute?! That's worth it right there!
That Tranzor-Z show looks kinda creepy. That guy splitting in half kinda freaked me out there.
When I saw the word "Shin" in the title, I thought of Crayon Shin Chan. Man, I am weird sometimes.
that Gundam clip shows the japanese are into some crazy ish. I've seen Shin Mazinger and it is all the awesome you have heard and more. if you don't think michael bay does enoughe xplosions this wont let you down
I recommend skipping episode 1 of Shin Mazinger. Episode 1 appears to take place at the end of the series and really doesn't make any sense without watching the other eps. Episode 2 is actually the beginning of the story.
"Crayon Shin Chan" sounds like a cartoon about Chan getting some CrayonS in her. I would totally watch that!
I've never seen Resolute! I am so far behind on G.I. Joe I never saw the one where they "soluted" the first time.
Now that you're here in Florida, I hope see you next year at MegaCon in Orlando. It's gloriously insane. You'd probably dig it.
Yeah, over the next three years I would like to hit one Megacon, one Anime Weekend Atlanta and one of those big ones they do in Tampa (the name escapes me at the moment). DragonCon might also be good and my ultimate dream would be to be able to go to Mechacon in Louisiana. I would almost consider giving up Botcon to do that one.
I went to Mizucon today and guess what? I got the schedule and nowhere on it are there listed showings of Shin Mazinger, Gundam 00 or GI Joe Resolute. They've got two 1 hour long blocks of Macross Frontier scheduled so I was mistaken thinking whole series would be shown. After a quick run through of the dealer room I went home. I'm sure it'll be a fun weekend for the anime types but it's not really my scene.
Don't forget, if you need a place to stay for Mechacon you got one. Or at least someone to go with so you won't be all by yerself. Mizucon doesn't sound terribly different. I wish I could have gone this year because I still need David Kaye's autograph on my BW Season 1 DVD set.
Gundam 00 was okay, but not the best Gundam series by far. They've shown two runs worth on Sci Fi for the last year.
Did you see they moved Mechacon to New Orleans for 2010? If I were to go my wife says she'd want to tag along because she likes the idea of New Orleans. If I bring the family I won't be alone outside of the show but she's allergic to robot conventions so I could still hang out with non-neurotypicals during con hours. Is New Orleans within driving distance for you or would you be getting a hotel?
I did not see that it was moved to New Orleans. I live 10 minutes east of Baton Rouge, about an hour away from New Orleans.
