LIFE IS NOT A SHORT ADVENTURE IT'S ACTUALLY A LONG AND BORING WAIT FOR THE ATARI DRAGON

Adventure pwned all other Atari games. I think I wasted more time on that game than I did every single Metal Gear Solid combined. Stupid inability to save!

Replied to your comments! (Thanks! BTW)

The problem with it was that once you solved it, which took like 4 minutes, it was always the same.

I came across it again a few years ago as a downloadable ROM or some shit and I was shocked I still remembered the pattern.

One of my favorite Atari 2600 games was Warlords.

Yes! You could use the paddles!

Did any of you play AND solve Raiders of the Lost Ark?

I wasn't much of a videogame fan because I was always caught up in Star Wars toys and Transformers in the early 80's. Of the games my cousins and I did play we generally stayed away from movie tie-ins because E.T. was so horrible. So I never played Raiders because I figured it was either destined to be bad or I blindly wrote it off as a rip-off of Pitfall without ever playing it.

Although I was the world's most caual Atari fan, I do remember Warlords and Night Driver were my favorite paddle games. I remember loving Warlords but I never had any friends to play with so I would play as the other controller and use 2 computer opponents. Those were great times. Then my sister bought me the Atari Flashback in 2004 and I played Warlords again and it sucked. That was one memory best left buried in the 80's.

The Flashback doesn't have paddles, does it?

Raiders of the Lost Ark for Atari 2600 was an unplayable mess. One player had to use both joysticks. The game design was far too ambitious.

Neither of the two Flashbacks had paddles but the first Flashback (the one that looked like a small black rectangle) didn't need them and Warlords could be played using the supplied joysticks. The Flashback 2 (the one that physically resembled the 2600) needed paddle controllers and a code to unlock Warlords.

Warlords can not be played with joysticks! That could be why that version stunk.
