And at some point a child has to come to this realization and wake up and realize that Santa isn't coming anymore. So they have to grow up a little, put away their toys and eventually take up the mantle and become the Santa Claus for the next generation. The last panel is Willy Wicky's initial shock and dismay at his realization that this is what's going on-that Santa Claus wasn't real and there comes a time when people stop giving you toy robots for Christmas. With the Willy character what happens is he rejects being Santa for anyone else and continues to collect toys for himself through adolescence-becoming his own Santa Claus and setting himself up for hellish damnation. But I couldn't fit that part in a three panel comic with under 20 words.Evil King Macrocranioshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01693211146604544544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37301459.post-5009646389315336592009-02-13T13:33:00.000-08:002009-02-13T13:33:00.000-08:00If I knew this was going to be some sort of story ...If I knew this was going to be some sort of story I woul dhave thought from the beginning that it was a murder mystery, like "Who killed Santa Claus?"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37301459.post-13768329318596010332009-02-10T12:06:00.000-08:002009-02-10T12:06:00.000-08:00Yes, not enough attention is paid to word balloons...Yes, not enough attention is paid to word balloons nowadays. I've found they're actually pretty hard to make. I have been trying to perfect them ever since my guest stints at TROYISGAY back in 2004.
